ABOUT US
Studio Pampanoni, based in Petrignano di Assisi in Umbria, in central Italy, was founded in 2000 and is primarily involved in product design, office and corporate space planning, and artistic direction for companies.
WE DESIGN WITH PASSION AND PERSEVERANCE, NEVER CEASING TO BE AMAZED
Since 2002. Arch. Pampanoni has started collaborating with several Italian companies, designing office partitions, individual furnishings and complete systems. This soon developed into artistic direction, focused on enhancing the client’s corporate image, their product catalogues, digital and online communication tools. The experience gained all over Italy has led to the development of a simple and effective working method, suitable to any kind of project, where every aspect of the design process is aimed at achieving the functional, technical, aesthetic and commercial results expected by the client. This method can be defined “performance-focused”, based on the principle that the ultimate purpose of each and every step of the process is to obtain specific, functional, technical, aesthetic and cost-effective performances. Our technical knowledge and constant collaboration with manufacturing companies have allowed us to significantly improve the design quality standards down to the most detailed operational requirements.
Today, every project is presented using multimedia tools, renderings, and detailed technical drawings.
We take care of each customer with great dedication, at their premises and at the construction site, with commitment and focus. Knowledge of the product and its production processes has provided useful ideas and insights on its characteristics and value, adding art direction and communication services to our professional competences. Our professional path has transitioned from architecture to product design and then to graphic design and communication.
INVESTING IN OUR LAND, WITH NO NEED TO EMIGRATE
Since 2017, D+A’s mission is to provide services related to products and communication tools, to create effective connections between objects, venues and users. In 2020 D+A inaugurated its new premises, a renovated former supermarket in the centre of Petrignano di Assisi (Umbria, Italy), equipped with work spaces, meeting rooms and a prototype laboratory. This was a further statement of our commitment to remain in Umbria, our land, helping to enhance local expertise, and to resist emigration towards the main design hubs.
Today, Studio Pampanoni and D+A collaborate with a number of companies, to assert the value of “Made in Italy” and the “corporate and territorial brand” in Italy and around the world.
THE STUDIO
A loft, a hub for ideas, in an amazing landscape
“I felt the need to reconnect with my homeland and wanted to create a place that would also be a reference point for associations related to the world of design and beyond. I would like it to become a space for ideas where people can engage in discussions and where meetings and other creative activities can be organised.”
An old supermarket turned into a container for creative professionals and creative activities
An old building once used as a supermarket that today is the new home for our studio.
A spacious and bright loft, composed of three blocks built in successive phases, completely renovated with seismic and energy-efficiency retrofits.
“Our project aimed to preserve the building’s original characteristics, maintaining its spatial and structural character, and ensuring an open and flexible layout”
An ambience based on sparse elements, on the strength of a few significant objects and large green plants that stand out in the main spaces. The two main volumes are staggered and communicate through a black-painted oblique corridor. A deliberately narrow path that highlights the proportions of the two areas.
The concrete-grey floor and white walls serve as the backdrop for the desks from the Bridge system desks and the Programma 3 container units where we store samples and plans. Nothing remains in sight except for the small coloured utility chairs at the workstations and the Aeron task chairs.
